Tragic Incident on Saraburi Road Claims Young Life
A shocking incident unfolded on a road in Saraburi province on June 8, resulting in the death of a 26-year-old woman, a popular figure on TikTok. The woman was fatally shot in front of her young son by her former partner, who subsequently died by suicide during a police pursuit.
Discovery at the Scene
Authorities were alerted to the scene on Phahon Yothin Road in Saraburi, where the victim, identified as Pon, was found deceased beside her white Honda Jazz. Pon, who had amassed over 200,000 followers on TikTok, was also employed at a local petrol station. She sustained gunshot wounds to her back and neck. Her two-year-old child was found inside the vehicle, unharmed.
Conflicting Relationships and Motives
Investigators are examining a complex web of potential motives, including personal relationships and employment disputes. Reports indicate that Pon had been on a video call with her current partner, Kla, shortly before the attack. She had reportedly left her home in Chalermprakiat district to meet her ex-boyfriend, Beer, who was a former oil tanker driver. Beer had allegedly arranged the meeting under the pretense of offering fuel.
Further analysis by law enforcement suggests a complicated romantic history. Pon had a child with Kla before their initial breakup. She then entered a relationship with Beer, which also ended. Subsequently, Pon reconciled with Kla.
Sources close to the investigation suggest that Pon had previously reported alleged misconduct by Beer to her workplace supervisor, leading to his dismissal days before the shooting. This incident is being considered a significant potential motive.
Pursuit and Fatal Conclusion
Following the incident, police located Beer’s vehicle on the Friendship Highway in Nakhon Ratchasima, initiating a high-speed pursuit. The chase concluded when the suspect’s car suffered a tyre failure. Upon approaching the vehicle, officers discovered Beer deceased inside. Authorities believe he took his own life.
Prior to the events, Beer had reportedly contacted a friend to borrow money, allegedly for an escape. During this conversation, he is said to have denied that jealousy or a romantic dispute was the driving force behind his actions.
Pon’s family has indicated they have provided all necessary information to investigators and have declined further comment.
