Tragic Discovery Leads to Arrest
Authorities have apprehended a 16-year-old boy in connection with the death of his girlfriend, a young woman estimated to be around 17 years old. Her body was discovered on Thursday morning in a rubbish bin located in Village Moo 8, tambon Krasae Bon, Klaeng district.
Initially, investigators believed the victim might be closer to 20 years old. She was characterized by her long red hair and extensive tattoos covering her back. Forensic analysis suggests the victim had been deceased for approximately four to five days prior to her discovery. The distinctive tattoos on her back and right chest played a significant role in confirming her identity.
Investigation Uncovers Fatal Wounds
Pol Maj Gen Chokchai Ngamwong, deputy commander of Provincial Police Region 2, stated on Friday that forensic findings indicate the victim sustained stab wounds to the abdomen. Investigators theorize the murder occurred at a different location, with the body subsequently being disposed of in an effort to obscure the crime.
The victim’s parents identified the remains, confirming it was their daughter, who had been reported missing for about a week. They had been actively searching for her before receiving information that the body found in Rayong matched her description.
Jealousy Cited as Motive
Following the identification, law enforcement agencies successfully located and arrested the victim’s 16-year-old boyfriend. During initial questioning, the teenager reportedly confessed to the killing, attributing his actions to jealousy after observing his girlfriend speaking with another man.
The suspect, who is a minor, is currently being held for further questioning. A multidisciplinary team is involved in the ongoing investigation to gather more details surrounding the incident.
