Two Chinese nationals suspected of a series of high-end burglaries in Nonthaburi have been arrested at Suvarnabhumi Airport. Police apprehended Jiang Lebao, 49, and Hong Feixing, 49, late Monday night as they arrived at the international arrivals hall. The arrests were made based on warrants issued by the Nonthaburi Provincial Court on May 11.
Details of the Arrest and Charges
The arresting team, from the Chaiyaphruek police station, seized items believed to be intended for future criminal activities. These included clothing, shoulder bags, shoes, balaclavas, and gloves. The two suspects are facing multiple charges, including theft in a dwelling at night, property damage, unauthorized access, disguising themselves to conceal their identities, and acting in concert with accomplices.
According to police statements made on Tuesday, the duo allegedly timed their return to Thailand to coincide with the recent long holiday period, anticipating that some homeowners might be away. Authorities believe the suspects were preparing to target more luxury housing estates in Nonthaburi, following an earlier crime spree that resulted in the theft of valuables exceeding 1 million baht.
The Investigation into the Burglary Spree
The arrests stem from an investigation into a series of break-ins that occurred on April 9 and April 11 at a high-end housing estate located in Tambon Bang Tanai, Pak Kret district, Nonthaburi. Investigators revealed that Jiang Lebao, Hong Feixing, and a third Chinese national, identified as Chen Wenhua, who remains at large, allegedly infiltrated several luxury homes.
During these alleged burglaries, the suspects reportedly stole a variety of valuables, with an estimated total worth of 1 million baht. Investigators meticulously reviewed CCTV footage, which showed the three men utilizing a ride-sharing service to reach an area near the targeted estate. From there, they reportedly traversed vacant land behind the compound before scaling the perimeter fence to gain entry into the properties.
Modus Operandi and Escape
Police detailed that the suspects, along with their accomplice, had initially stayed at a hotel in the Don Mueang area of Bangkok. From there, they allegedly hired a vehicle to transport them to the luxury housing estate in Pak Kret, where they are accused of burgling four houses. The stolen items, which reportedly included gold necklaces, cash, and designer handbags, were allegedly sold in Pattaya on April 12. Following the sale of the stolen goods, the group is believed to have flown back to China on April 14.
Investigators successfully traced the suspects through hotel records, confirming their identities. This evidence was crucial in obtaining arrest warrants for all three individuals. It was noted that the third suspect, Chen Wenhua, did not accompany Jiang Lebao and Hong Feixing on their most recent trip to Thailand.

Upon their apprehension, both Jiang Lebao and Hong Feixing reportedly denied all charges leveled against them. Police have indicated that further questioning will be conducted, with the assistance of an interpreter, to gather more information regarding the alleged crimes.
