THAI Relaunches Amsterdam Service
Thai Airways International (THAI) is set to reintroduce direct flights to Amsterdam, a move that underscores the airline’s dedication to passenger convenience and growing market demand. The announcement coincided with the launch of THAI’s annual customer appreciation event, “Rak Khun Tao Fah 2026,” held at Emsphere on Friday.
Commitment to Connectivity and Demand
Kittiphong Sansomboon, THAI’s chief commercial officer, highlighted that the resumption of the Amsterdam route is a direct response to increasing passenger interest. “Rak Khun Tao Fah 2026 provides another platform for THAI to demonstrate our gratitude to our valued customers, Royal Orchid Plus members, and business partners for their enduring loyalty and trust over our 66-year history,” he stated.
Mr. Sansomboon further explained that the reinstated Amsterdam service will broaden THAI’s operational network, offering enhanced travel connections for both leisure and corporate travelers as the global tourism sector continues its recovery. This strategic expansion aims to solidify THAI’s position in the international market.
Enhanced Customer Engagement Initiatives
In conjunction with the route relaunch, THAI has introduced several new programs designed to deepen customer engagement. These include specially curated travel packages available through Royal Orchid Holidays, an expansion of benefits for Royal Orchid Plus members, and a series of promotional campaigns. A significant draw is the offer of over 3,000 prizes, valued at more than 3 million baht, with business-class flights to Amsterdam among the top rewards.
The four-day “Rak Khun Tao Fah 2026” event also features a comprehensive showcase of products from THAI Sky Shop, THAI Sky Duty Free, and Puff & Pie. Partnerships with nine financial institutions are providing additional promotional offers for attendees.
