A Thai mother appeals for public help to identify a foreign motorcyclist who seriously injured her teenage son in a hit-and-run crash in Phuket’s Rawai subdistrict on May 10.
Details of the Collision
The incident unfolded around 2:30 p.m. when the foreign rider, carrying two passengers, abruptly changed lanes and struck the teenager’s red Honda Wave motorcycle. The teenager lost control, crashed at the scene, and sustained severe injuries to his left leg, right knee, and both arms. His motorcycle suffered significant damage on the left side.
After the collision, the rider fled the area by running a red light and heading toward Promthep Cape.
Mother’s Frustrations and Police Response
The mother filed a report with local police and secured CCTV footage independently, which clearly captures the motorcycle’s registration plate. Despite this evidence, authorities have made no progress, prompting her to seek public assistance through social media.
No official updates on the teenager’s condition are available beyond the visible injuries from the crash photos.
Ongoing Investigation
Police have yet to identify the suspect or release further details on the probe.
