A Russian tourist has tragically died following a collision between his rental motorcycle and a 10-wheel truck on Rama 2 Road in Samut Sakhon province. The incident, which occurred on Sunday, August 2, has prompted discussions about the risks of long-distance motorcycle travel in Thailand.
Fatal Collision on Rama 2 Road
Emergency services, coordinated by the Sri Samut Rescue Foundation, responded to the scene near Wipharam Hospital. Upon arrival, rescuers found the Russian rider suffering from severe injuries. Reports indicate that his motorcycle, a white Honda Click registered in Phuket (license plate 1กพ 3431), collided with a large truck. The injured man was promptly transported to Samut Sakhon Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. The Mueang Samut Sakhon Police Station has taken over the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the fatal accident.
