According to the shop owner, identified as Dahlan, the flag had been on display for approximately a year and was not recently put up in response to any specific event. The customers, who Dahlan stated were Israeli, initially entered the store seeking a phone accessory that was unavailable.
The conversation then reportedly shifted to the flag. The female customer inquired about its presence and requested that it be removed. Both parties involved have offered differing accounts of how the confrontation escalated, with each accusing the other of initiating the heated argument that followed before the customers departed the premises.
