Nestlé has announced a significant investment of 23 billion baht (approximately $630 million USD) to establish a new, state-of-the-art coffee manufacturing facility in Thailand. This substantial capital injection aims to bolster the company’s coffee operations within the country and enhance its export capabilities, particularly for its Nescafé brand.
Strategic Investment in Thailand’s Coffee Sector
The decision to build this new plant follows a period of legal disputes involving the Mahagitsiri family concerning Nescafé operations and associated agreements in Thailand. Despite these challenges, Nestlé is reaffirming its commitment to the Thai market with this major expansion.
According to a company statement, the new facility is designed to significantly strengthen Nestlé’s existing coffee business in Thailand
