A significant trade and investment fair, MEET Thai Plus 2026 Shenzhen, is set to take place on September 9-10 at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Centre. This event, spanning 7,500 square meters, aims to serve as a major platform for Thai businesses and services to engage with the Chinese market, fostering increased investment and bilateral cooperation.
Showcasing Thailand’s Strengths in a Key Chinese Hub
Supawan Teerarat, president of the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB), described the fair as the most extensive overseas market engagement initiative ever organized by the bureau. Its primary goal is to enhance Thailand’s brand image among Chinese investors and identify collaborative opportunities to strengthen the economic partnership between Thailand and China. “We want to showcase Thailand’s branding for Chinese investors,” Mrs. Supawan stated, emphasizing the desire to find collaboration and business opportunities in competitive sectors to bolster the partnership across various dimensions.
The scope of participation goes well beyond the traditional Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, and Exhibitions (MICE) sector. The fair will feature a diverse range of industries, including trade, investment, tourism, technology, healthcare, food, the creative economy, and education. This broad approach reflects Thailand’s ambition to present a multifaceted economic profile to potential Chinese partners.
