A fatal collision occurred on Therd Prakiat Road in Pak Nakhon early this morning, resulting in the death of a driver. The incident was reported to authorities around 2:30 AM.
The vehicle, a white Mitsubishi Pajero, veered off the road and struck a concrete wall adjacent to the People Unity rescue foundation. The impact was severe enough to cause the driver’s death at the scene.
Rescue Efforts Underway
Emergency responders were required to use specialized hydraulic equipment to extricate the driver’s body from the wreckage. The vehicle was significantly crushed, trapping the individual between the steering wheel and the driver’s seat.
Victim Identified
The deceased has been identified as Winwit Liawpatanapong, a 38-year-old resident of Moo 5 in Tha Sak, Muang district. Initial reports indicate that Mr. Liawpatanapong was employed at a bank.
Circumstances Leading to the Crash
According to preliminary investigations, Mr. Liawpatanapong had been socializing with friends at an eatery in Muang district. Following the gathering, he was driving home alone when the accident occurred. Eyewitness accounts suggest the vehicle was traveling at a high speed. It appeared the driver lost control before colliding with the concrete fence.
